    -Install
    -Register
    -Reboot
-Start Paragon Hard Disk Manager from Start Menu
-At the bottom of the program, right-click the partition you want to check
and select "Check file system integrity"
    -Follow the prompts

Use chkdsk with only the /f option. This does not perform a surface scan.

Partition Table Doctor 3.5 works very well. I had problems accessing partitions on an external hard drive with certain operating systems. PTDD found and fixed the problems when several others said there was nothing wrong.

The older version of Partition Doctor was flaky and messed up my partition table on one of my drives, causing 2 of my partitions to disappear. It still tells me one of my drives is messed up but neither Paragon or Partition Magic raise a peep and I don't have any problems.

No, Partition Doctor is telling me that one of my partition tables is incorrect but Paragon and Partition Magic don't raise a warning.

If there's a problem, it will pop up a warning as soon as you start the program, offering to repair the problem automatically or interactively.

    Well, as I said before:
and it still gives me a warning when no other program detects a problem so I don't particularly trust it.
