    Hi,
I am looking for a good notebook to run zorin os 6, without windows pre-installed,but having a nightmare finding such a notebook/ultrabook,the closest i got to is with Asus K55VM-SX086D which is a similar configuration i am looking for, only thing about the above notebook is its screen resolution is 1366 x 768 Pixel which sucks.

Basic requirements from my notebook Processor Core i7 (3rd Generation) a good graphics card min 8gig RAM ,dont care about HD space much, and most importantly no windows preinstalled !!
dont want to pay to microsoft for a thing i would not be using.

    Please suggest some good notebooks.

You can decline the install, contact the support and get a refund.

Mrk, I think it might be the EULA that needs to be declined ?

even if i decline install,i would still end-up paying for windows right ?
anyway here in india, most laptops come pre installed with windows and its pain in A** to find one with a good config without windows preinstalled, which is what i am looking for,so any help would be appreciated.

If it's preinstalled by vendor and comes with the user customization setup only, then that qualifies as the step where the user can decline and reclaim their money. In this case, the user cannot decline Microsoft eula, but they can decline the vendor eula and stop. Had it on my hp, but did not claim the refund as I couldn't be assed with phoning and suchlike.

    Did you call Dell?
Canonical claims that Dell is selling laptops with Ubuntu pre-loaded in India.

    They have a toll-free number.

  10. I find that it's the best to buy one with windows pre-installed. take a image then instal Linux of choice. Odd's are you will be thankful you have a windows image around and you will probably find better spec laptops too.
