For the last week or so, when I shut down my puter the "Logging out ..." stage now takes several seconds as compared with almost instantaneous previously. "Saving settings" and "Shutting down Windows" still take about the same as usual.

No updates from MS recently that I'm aware of (since last month's Patch Tuesday), so I presume it's some third-party app that got updated that's doing this.

Not a big deal, obviously, just wondered if anyone else has noticed this and been able to track it down to its source.

    Hello,
Nothing special here. I noticed the logout time depends on how long the machine was on, 3-4 days compared to 3 weeks for instance, and what programs I ran.

I notice the same. Different security software got the blame, but maybe you are right. I should look closer at this incident.
