    I am stuck with stage1 - creating a backup.

Acronis server for windows v8 build 903 installed on win2k sbs

I cannot create a backup or schedule a backup, I receive the error
'Logon Failure Unknown Username or bad password'

It seems to be due to the Acronis Schedular2 Service running as localsystem account with allow service to interact with desktop. I have lots of other services on this server working localsystem account.

If I change the Acronis Schedular2 service to use administrator for example it complains that it is missing a required service (I assume interact with desktop)

    Hello davesin,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please download and install the latest build (937) of Acronis True Image Server 8.0 for Windows which is available at: http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/support/updates/

To get access to updates you should create an account at:
    http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/my/
then log in and use your serial number to register your software.

Please also note that when you create a scheduled task you should use login and password of the user that is currently logged in.

If the problem still persists after installing the update then please provide me with the more detailed information on the problem.

Tell me when exactly you receive the above-mentioned error messages?

Please describe actions taken before the problem appears step-by-step.

    Thank you.

Hello i have the same problem !

    - Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP4
    - Acronis True Image Windows Server Version 8 Build-Nr.937 2005-08-09
    - http://www.acronis.com/files/support/SnapAPI_l_s_e.exe is installed too

Installed the latest Version and want to create a schedule. At the screen where i must enter the Password for the user "Administrator" i get an error message, User and Password does not match or something like that (i have the german version)

i tried it 5 times, but it doesn´t work. i am logged in local as domain-admin but True Image wont accept the passwords.

if i start backup without schedule, it works - but i need the scheduler.

sorry for my bad english :)

[edit] the administrator account has got a password which i have entered in the blank field....

so this is not the reason:
