LOG analyzer for UBUNTU

    Logwatch. It's in the repos. However, I have tried using it in Precise and it doesn't ever do anything. It worked fine in previous Ubuntu's.

    What it does is scour the logs for any kind of error, as well as the "auth.log" etc. It then sends a report daily to an e-mail address you specify (you can use the local root user address and just have it sent to the root mailbox locally).

    You can try installing it, reading the man page, etc. I didn't mess with it too much in Precise, so maybe I had something set up wrong.
