live update available ????? for Sun Java [JRE] 5.0 Update

    hi,

    are there any live update available for Sun Java [JRE] 5.0 Update?
    or everytime i shud download 15 mb file?


    pls help.

    Yes there is the online update method which is shorter; just choose that one. {At the Site there are two downloads, the online and offline, it is the offline which is a very large 15-Meg file, so choose the other one, the online method}. Hope that helps .. ;)

    After you install the latest version of sun java make sure you delete all other versions in add/remove programs too. The only java you should have listed in add/remove programs is: J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6. If you leave any other older versions it can leave you open and vulnerable to attacks. http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,14915606
