Live chatroom problem

    I re-installed ESS after a short break and found that access to a live chatroom driven by Flash was unavailable.
    I tied repairing Winsock with no joy.
    I uninstalled ESS and with neither AV or firewall installed was able to connect and see the message panes
    I installed NOD 32 and tried again - OK
    I then installed COMODO firewall and all was still OK.
    So - conclusion ESS Firewall element was blocking access.
    Why?

    did you have the firewall on automatic? Was there a rule allowing access to that flash app?
