liteon dvdrw sohw-812s

I am running xp pro sp2 with an external USB liteon dvdrw sohw-812s burner. For some reason "true image 8.0" will only recognize this burner as a cd burner and not a dvd burner. What could be causing this.

The firmware on this burner is USOQ

 

I think true image 8.0 will only burn on CD not DVD and when it does will onlyy burn in UDF format

 

That's OK. As long as you format your DVD+RW or DVD-RW disks with Roxio Drag-to-Disc, Nero InCD, Sonic DLA or similar packet writing software, TrueImage will write to the disk as a DVD disk. Only Roxio allows formatting of DVD+R disks instead of +/- RW disks.

Give that a try and let us know.

 

And who will be so stupid to use either Roxio Drag-to-Disc, Nero InCD
