    Here is my response:

Have you read the author's response (and money-back offer)?

    http://www.sinnercomputing.com/FAQ.htm#snake

While certainly entitled to his opinion, Scheiner is not the ONLY
authority in the field of encryption.

That is an 8 month old thread -- for which, my response was rejected
as SPAM by your moderator. Looks like I can't respond to "OLD"
    information.

Anybody with some knowledge about cryptography knows that CryptIt's and XorIt's "encryption" scheme is useless and leads to a false sense of security. This product was marketed as a product offering "unbreakable" encryption through One-Time Pads. In reality, it does none of these things. It offers (for a paid price) an unbelievably simple XOR scheme and no method whatsoever to create One-Time Pads. It is snake oil at its worst.

And another thing, you don't trust Schneier (one of the most respected cryptographers in the world), uh? Ask the opinion of other known and respected cryptologists. I'm dying to see what people like Ronald L. Rivest, Daniel J. Bernstein, or Matt Blaze think about this product.

Sorry, a list that lists as "recommended" products of no quality whatsoever is useless to me, and from now on I'll consider it as such.

This is my last comment on this subject.

For those who did not read the second post in that "8 month old" thread, it linked to another thread that was current at that time, where both Andrew Glina (of SinnerComputing.com) and Bruce Schneier, along with many other people with various levels of knowledge in encryption, discussed the product and technology in quite a bit of detail.

    It's a good read.

Ronjor- nothing to really do with the thread, but is there some reason your post count stops at 32,873?

    My pleasure Ron !

Thanks to your posting about the returning of the List of Lists, and thanks to a posting by someone else at another board with that quote, I went hunting and saw this message from Steve Gibson:
    http://www.grc.com/newsdown.htm

That's how I found that link and that message from David.
(If I had used Newsgroups, I would have found it earlier  ).

    OK, back to topic.
I too hope the List will be maintained in the future !
