I recently updated to Smart Security v4.2.71.2.
Unfortunately after the update the "List of blocked addresses/masks" was empty.
The list at "Advanced Setup\Antivirus and antispyware\Web access protection\HTTP, HTTPS\Address management"
I use this list to block advertisements on websites I frequently visit.
It used to contain a long list blocked addresses built up over more than a year.
    Now it's empty

Is there any way to recover this list?

It is a long shot but it may still be in the XML file. Open the xml file in a text editor and look for the list in there. If the configuration tree has changed between the two versions the list may still be there just in the wrong section. If it is there you can copy it into a list and then re-import it through the ESET Configuration editor.

I can find only one xml file.

    C:\ProgramData\ESET\ESET Smart Security\EHttpSrv.xml

It doesn't contain a node that has to do with blocked addresses

Is this the xml file you are talking about?
