   i just turned one of my compters into a linux
   computer ( the plan was to make it a dual boot
   machine [ windows/linux ] but i screwed up.
   
   i have firestarter installed and running. Other
   than that, what do i need for a good paranoid
   security setup ?

   Check this guide for securing Linux.
   
   Also two other tools you can check out are OSSEC (Host-based Intrusion Detection System) and chkrootkit (rootkit scanner).
