Linux Mint 13 “Maya” Xfce RC released!

    Man I love the killer distro Voyager based on XFCE but right now I don't know which is better. I'm not interested in the mintmenu in xfce it's a bit of a too much for xfce imho. If you want a full-tilt xfce distro you have some great choices. I'll keep testing LM13 xfce out and let you know what I think.

    I messed with the RC in a few sessions and 4.10 with the mint-z theme is wonderful, enable compiz and I'd be in heaven. Very modern looking, smooth and responsive. I love Mint releases, but they're getting thick in the thighs. Mint XFCE is a gigabyte and 300 packages beefier than xubuntu 12.04 and the RAM use was about 100MB more. Mint XFCE now uses nearly the same resources as a Cinnamon install.

    Still, can't deny that it's a good time to be a Linux user. :thumb:
