Au contraire, it is a bad move. They should actually move to gnome 3 and improve it. LinuxMint developers have a good track record of innovation and they should have brought their innovative thinking into improving gnome or even unity for that matter.

Eventually, maybe with LinuxMint 12 they will change course.

    Thanks.

I think its a good move to stick with 2.32 for now. Users can still install Unity from the Ubuntu repositories but why they should they want to?

Linux Mint is the stodgy Ubuntu cousin, set in its ways and it likes being as it is!

Why do Linux Mint releases always have female names with an A at the end?

It just sounded good to distinguish LM from Ubuntu's zoological naming scheme. :)

In the eurosphere, most female names end with a.
