Light AV - any suggestions?

    yes, and sometimes on your computer, some just don't work. Everbody says kav is excellent and i bet it is, but its crappy on mine. My PC isn't all that all too- pentium D 2.67Ghz 1gb ram.

    Services run under the system account so if dr web runs a service it won't show up unless "processes from all users" is checked.

    you misunderstand me,

    it wont show, simply because there aint anymore drweb services.

    Same on my two laptops. Tried all sorts in the past to speed things up but boot time and browsing is so much slower than compared to Avira, BD or Avast. A real shame because I used to use KAV 5 which worked so well.

    Agreed. Not only is Avira light, but highly protective.
