I bought ESET over the counter at an electronics retailer. I bought a one year/one user subscription. I assume the time starts when I download it to the computer, rather than the day of purchase. Is this correct?

Thanks for the info. I should have mentioned that I purchased NOD32, and that the box contains a CD with a serial number, instead of the EAV- system when you purchase online and download. This is my third NOD32 license. It was too good a deal to pass up. OfficeMax had NOD32 on sale for $24, then $5 more off with the 20% storewide discount they were running. I'm glad to know I don't have to use it immediately as I will be using it on a computer which currently has another AV that will expire in a few months.
