I don't think I've seen a better first-round of college basketball in my life. What an exciting weekend. Some amazing upsets. And my favorite three teams (UK, LOU, T TECH) are still in the hunt. :D I was glued to the TV for almost 12 solid hours Thursday through Sunday (well, I guess half that on Sunday). And I have to say that High-Def TV makes a BIG difference. WOW!

...And how about Bucknell over Kansas!! I overheard some talk on ESPN radio the other day, and they were saying that as of two years ago, Bucknell didn't even offer scholarships for Basketball. And this year they offered only five. Unbeleiveable! And they defeated Kansas! ESPN radio was calling it the greatest Tournament upset of all time.

Furthermore, ESPN radio also said that it was Spring Break at Bucknell last week, and their Band decided to party instead of supporting the team. I guess they didn't give their team much chance of winning. So Bucknell had to rent a band for the game. I bet the band members are feeling kind of bad right about now.

    Satellite?

Tech is surprising everyone. Bobby Knight gives them an edge. Most of the teams are closely matched.

There is almost NO chance that anyone was 100% accurate on their 1st round picks. Not this year!

    P.S. Nice avatar, Ron! :D

    Yes. DirecTV HD.

I would love to see him prove all his critics wrong.

Thanks Daisey as always. I imagine a few lost their shirts on these games.

Yes. But that is what makes it exciting. If all the lower seeds always won, I sure wouldn't watch. ;) Hopefully more to come this weekend, as long as it's not one of my teams that gets upset. :D

Hey, I like Kansas, too. :) Didn't the guy that invented Basketball go to Kansas? The only team I really dislike is DUKE. I hope they lose big this weekend. :p

Well, Louisville wins big last night, beating a #1 seed. Wow! And tonight UK will also advance to the Elite Eight after dispensing with Utah. :D Watch for Michigan to send Duke packing. And NC might take a dive too, if they are not careful. But in my opinion they are the team to beat this tournament.

Possibly. But I know UK has fans around the country. UK by many measures has the #1 college basketball program in the country. There will be lots of people watching.

Yes! :D My bracket actually had Duke winning. But I am so glad they lost.

Good basketball today! Louisville is doing their part. Final four.

Illinois is living a charmed life.
