I just updated to the latest version of TrueImage, build 937.

Still it is not possible to boot an ACER 18003 laptop with the full version bootable CD - disappointing -

    Hello Artemisa,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please note that you should create new Bootable Rescue CD after installing the update.

If that's not the case and you still can not boot from Bootable Rescue CD made using build 937 of Acronis True Image 8.0 then please try the "acpi=off noapic" workaround as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

If that does not help then please provide me with the more detailed information on the problem.

Tell me if you have received any error messages? What exact error messages?

Let me know when exactly the boot process stops.

Please describe actions taken before the problem appears step-by-step.

    Thank you.

    Alexey,
    thanks for your reply.

"Please note that you should create new Bootable Rescue CD after installing the update."
    I DID

"If that's not the case and you still can not boot from Bootable Rescue CD made using build 937 of Acronis True Image 8.0 then please try the "acpi=off noapic" workaround as it is described in Acronis Help Post."
I DID, THE RESULTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

Computer starts booting, first message coming up:
    "Starting Acronis Loader"
Pressing F11 and changing the Linux kernel command line to
quiet acpi = off noapic, next message coming up:
Starting Acronis True Image, followed by
All over blue Acronis screen, followed by black screen with kind of
Acronis logo in the top left and saying underneath
    Loading, please wait …

NOTHING MORE, COMPUTER HANGS, END OF THE BOOT ATTEMPT.

"If that does not help then please provide me with the more detailed information on the problem."

    Hello Artemisa,

We regret to inform you that currently the problem still persists and our Development Team is still in search for the reason. The only good news is that they managed to create some custom build that gave at least some diagnostic information concerning the boot process (I am sure you remember that there was no output with original builds). However, currently there are no other improvements on this case and we are still working on the fix.

    Thank you.
