Laptop with no power

    hello i having a old laptop lenovo 3000 n100 5 years old

    with new battery with year old

    having OS windows xp and ubuntu 10.04 LTS as default

    yesterday it was working perfectly till i shut down after that there is no power

    also like to add

    While your laptop's power jack or supply could very well be the culprit, the first thing I would suspect is the AC adapter or power cord (they do go bad)! Just about any multimeter can be used to test it.

    Let me know if you need instructions...

    last time when i shutdown it does have 90% of battery life remaining and i running it on ac adapter not its not working on battery mode even when i plug power cord it dont show light i check and tell about the power cord tommrow dont have multimeter right now

    thanks for kind replay i try that as well tommrow what other options i have apart from that just wondering o_O?

    problem is battery not charging also with motherboard i replace the motherboard and battery its seems working now let me check for more :rolleyes:
