I have a couple of OEM versions of KIS6 which haven't been used. Can I install KIS7, from new, and use a KIS6 key to register?

It's not for me, I am still using F-Secure, but I have a couple of friends who use KIS6 OEMs and their licenses are due to expire. As I have these two licenses going spare, I hoped I could pass them on, but the two friends also want to upgrade to version 7. Is there a downloadable OEM of KIS7 anywhere? As has been said, it's probably worth a try. I am pretty sure that when I was using KIS6, the OEM licenses worked on the retail (download) versions.

Yes, I don't think there's actually any difference with the OEM / Retail licenses. It was whether a license for 6 would work on 7 that was my main query.

Hi, if you did not find any UI differences, you can use it as retail, as for key, there is for sure no restriction on which version(6 or 7, oem or retail) you use, only the time period matters. I think what you have it is the activation code, not the key, you should activate within a limited time, otherwise it will expire, after you got the key from the activation server, you will find it works, no matter what version. If I remember right, only key old enough, like version 4.5 or 5 can't use on version 6, after that, you can use on 6 or 7, the function which you can use is defined in the key.

Yes. I've purchased several OEM copies of KAV/KIS 6.0, and all of the activation codes on the paper sleeve work during a clean installation of 7.0.
