KIS 2010 firewall

I've asked on Kaspersky forum what settings do i have to tweak on KIS,because it fails all Pc Flank tests.A moderator replied,and gave me some hints,applied them,and now the tests are ok,the ports are stealthed.But he stated that is not giving more security...i replied that why all the other firewalls are stealthing the ports by default,but he said that is a trick to buy the software,nothing more....
My question is,how true it is,and is really so important to have the ports stealthed?

Here. Closed ports are exactly as secure as stealthed ones, and dropping ICMP (ping) doesn't make you invisible.

 

No it is not important to stealth ports but people feel better if they are hence FW implements it
