I currently have Kaspersky Interent Security 2009, with the license soon to expire. I'm debating between renewing Kaspersky or going with Norton Internet Security 2009. I'm looking for comparisons between the two.

I have Vista, by the way.

If you have a router, I would just get whichever is cheaper.

I've used them both and prefer Norton Internet Security 2009. I would suggest you try them both and see which is most compatible with your PC - they are both available as trialware.

You can also read reviews. I think the review of NIS 2009 done by PcMag.com was in depth and quite good. I can't recommend a good review of KIS 2009 though, sorry.

    Salamander,

We don't do open-ended A vs. B comparisons since they invariably devolve into content free stream of consciousness exchanges. If you have specific technically based issues, feel free to start a new thread and raise them.

In the meantime..., both products are very solid. Trial both to try both on for size, then make the call based on your personal usage preferences.
