@taleblou: Apart the non existent and outdated changelog from both ''reliable'' sites like Softpedia and Techspot the new version is indeed 5.7.

 

Neowin does not have a changelog, but a direct download from kingsoft.

 

It's good to see that the English version has not been abandoned, as I find 360 Internet Security to be too heavy for me. However, I will test 360 again with BitDefender disabled too see if that helps.

 

That pic shows a may 2013 database? If this 5.7 is new and just came out then why is the database that old? Atleast should have the database of late june 2013 in it?

Could be that it came out in May 2013 and just now was uploaded to servers

Also the english forumis gone and the english site is still old. All links lead to the chinese page

 

It's the most similar alternative.

 

The problem with Kingsoft is that they just abandoned their support forums which were later filled with spam and now taken offline. I can't use something it has no support at all. And which had a great support before because Kingsoft guys actually listened to our wishes or requests.

 

This is really confusing me.First i thought Kingsoft Antivirus was abondoned,then i thought it was bought by Baidu,then i find this new version of KAV but with an out of date Virus Lib Version.Now i just noticed that the KAV English website is now at pcdoctor.kingsoft.com,& there is no pcdoctor website that i can find.What is going on??

 

At this point, a user would have to be desperate to run this on their production machine. Way too many questions and way too many other well known free AVs to use.

 

The REAL development of the Kingsoft Antivirus English Version is almost abandoned. They are still working on a advanced version of Kingsoft Antivirus called Duba (Goku) Antivirus and available only for the Chinese market:

Hmm it seems kingsoft dont stick around long enough for people to consider using their products as the long term prospects do not look healthy.

Kingsoft Antivirus 2012 SP5.7 Tutorial ..This showed up on Utube a few hours ago.

 

Testing it, and it took an update today "auto"

 

Just found a virus that only 6 AVs currently detect, one of them is Kingsoft via cloud.

 

Only one ? I have about 50 day which are covered by KVM heuristic engine and are not FP.

The Virus Lib has not updated for 3 days now.The last one is 2013.07.09.09

Simply don't use this program....The way they have left us like pieces of sh*t, you just should start using something else (they are MUCH better free products....even Qihoo is 10times better).

 

Actually Kingsoft Antivirus is still being developed, they just recently released a new version - although development has slowed down a lot.

Qihoo's 360 is not as light as Kingsoft with the default settings.
