KILL zestyfind please!

I just installed and ran Ad Aware, Spybot S&D, and Spysweeper's free trial, and I _still_ have that stupid zestyfind coming up.

Another one that seems to have been disabled by these 3 efforts (at least so far) is smiley central--hate that too.

I started to post my hijack log, then wondered what kind of information I give away by doing that. Can you just tell me what the code looks like that has to do with zesty, and I'll have hijack deal with that?

Welcome to Wilders!!!

It is very hard to tell you what to look for in HJT as so many variants nowadays use "name changers" or random names when creating their files. Your best way to go is to post your HJT log.

If you are worried about the info it gives:
1.) it gives the version info of windows and IE
2.) list places the bad things can be hiding

Nothing personal is revealed. Take a look at the log after you have scanned it if you are worried.

Are u sure this is your entire log?

Also, did you remove entries already with HJT?
What told you you have zestyfind? Zestyfind can be tricky to remove as it uses a dll that can be hard to find and delete.....

I don't know if part of the log was missing. I reran, and there's a new copy of the log below.

I assume I have a zestyfind problem because about 2 seconds after I open my browser (IE), I'm looking at a browser window with zestyfind. When I check my options settings, my preferred home page has been reset to zestyfind.com. Didn't take any digging to figure this one out!

Before you start please unzip hijackthis.exe to a folder of it´s own. The program creates backups in the folder it is in. In a Temp folder they easily disappear.

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

Okay, after some flailing I got it done. After the safe mode steps, I reran AdAware, SpyBotS&D, and Spy Sweeper, and caught more stuff. And after all that, STILL had Columbia House the next time I opened IE. So I reran Ad Aware again. Didn't get Columbia House, but did get a popup, when I reopened IE. This stuff never ends, apparently.
