    Hi,
    The 64 bit version which supports 64 bit VSS Service is coming in one week or two...
    The steps of 1CRP using to recover are as following:
    1. The computer load the MBR, which is the MBR of GRUB4DOS if you have installed 1CRP.
    2. The MBR of GRUB4DOS will search all drives including your external hard drive.
    3. If MBR of GRUB4DOS find the file zhgrldr in root folder of any drive including your external hard drive, it run zhgrldr and the boot menu will appear.
    4. Select 'Restore the computer to a snapshot' to recover.

    Thanks,
    River

    Hi,
    It's strange.
    The free version of 1-Click Restore can detect scsi disk in my computer (the VMware version is Workstation ACE 6.0 Edition)
    So, could you tell me what's the version of WMware you are using?

    Thanks,
    River

    I have the Pro version 2. I'm unable to make use of the rescue area from boot-up. Neither the mouse nor keyboard operate when I attempt to use it that way, and the only way out is to shut down with the power button.

    Since my mouse and keyboard are USB, I'm assuming it doesn't recognize USB before Windows is booted. Otherwise, I've no idea why.

    I uninstalled it. I'll install it back, once I find out that bug is fixed.

    Thank you, but I think I'll wait for the PRO version to to support USB. I paid for the PRO version. The free version doesn't permit retrieving individual files. That feature is essential.

    The differences between the free and pro version are as followings:
    1. Ability to recover files from snapshots.
    2. Ability to schedule task of creating snapshot.
    3. Snapshot management, including create, lock, unlock, delete.
    4. Ability to change the storage drive for the snapshots.
    5. Event Log.

    Certainly, some more important functions are coming in next PRO version. :)

    Thanks,
    River

    Version 2.1 (64 bit VSS Service compatible) is released on the Keriver site.

    I am testing it. So far I can confirm that
    (1) it creates a snapshot, and
    (2) I am not seeing any VSS Errors on my system. :)

    Sweet!! :)

    @River (2010freesoho)
    Congrats for this new version. I tested it in a vm and is simple great.
    As other members requested an easy way to create a bootable cd, iso and flashdisk is a must.

    I have a question though. Have you changed the default setting from incremental to differentials? And how 1-click can handle deleted older images if the users prefer incrementals?

    @all
    River forgot to mention that now you have the ability to create backups from the recovery environment (outside the OS), handy for those that do not like hot images.

    What is the typical size of the baseline image compared to original HDD partition space?

    What size are the incrementals and differentials?

    In using a program like this would it be better to have a system partition that is small (30 or 40 GB) to reduce image sizes?

    It appears a melding of rollback features into a backup and restore program, I like the idea. Does this make it FD-ISR like?

    I like to save images to CD/DVD/Blueray and restore from that, I wipe my drives and reinstall often. Will this be included in future builds?

    This (on all imaging apps) depends not from the size of the partition but from the size and the type of the data that are on the partition. Bellgamin could give you some numbers from his snapshots (on a fresh windows installation the image size should be around 60% of the original size of the data that occupies the partition.)

    Around 60% of the data that is new or moved in new sectors plus 40-60 mb (on windows xp).

    It does not matter.

    It's not comparable with FD-ISR.

    31GB of occupied space on C was backuped & compressed to 13.5GB (on 2nd internal hd).

    Backing up baseline: 9.5 minutes
    Restoring to C: 4.5 minutes

    Working simple and beautifully here on Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

    Restoring even worked well when the program is not installed on the system. I went back to an earlier FD-ISR snapshot, without first uninstalling 1-Click, and was then able to use its pre-boot menu to restore my C partition. Great but I would also like if we'd be allowed to create a boot CD for that...

    Edit:

    @2010freesoho
    What would be the procedure to activate our license offline, please?

    It would be great if network support would be added. I have a network backup server that I like to keep my backups on.
