For some odd reason, my winxp home machine cannot even see this win2k machine in my network places until I disable the firewall. But, I have no problem whatsoever with the winxp home machine accessing the net with or without the firewall up and running. This machine can see the others no matter what.
Hi Slovak Can you provide a few more details on your set-up/LAN. Do you have any rules in place for your LAN systems? Regards, CrazyM
1)five computers total, one with winxp home, four with win2k 2)only one win2k with kerio 3)the one with kerio can see all others in network places 4)none of the non kerio computers can see the kerio one, but can see each other 5) just the default rules that kerio set when it was first installed
Hi Slovak Which version of Kerio? I believe with 2.x there was a Microsoft networking section where you could enable netbios for your LAN, similar to a trusted zone. You could also make rules to allow LAN traffic and place them fairly high in the rule set. The following links provide some rule examples: BlitzenZeus Kerio v2.x Default Replacement Rules Global Permit/Block Rules If you need a hand defining some rules for your LAN, ask away Regards, CrazyM
Hi Slovak Does the 4.x version have a similar tab to 2.x for Microsoft networking? What rule(s) do you have in place now for the LAN? Regards, CrazyM
