KeePass Global Auto-type Problem

I've been testing KeePass for a week now. It was working great until I did an image restore yesterday.

1. I'm running a portable version of KP, version 2.17
2. Operating system is XP SP3.

To be clear, the problem is that after an image restore of my OS, KP's global auto-type's malfunction appeared. Take my Wilders account for an example.

1. I go to wilders site, and click on the username input box.
2. I hit the "LCtrl, Alt + A".
3. KP performs an auto-type, but enters my username like "peramail" instead of "operamail".
4. The first letter of every entry's username is missing during the global auto-type.

Thank God, I don't have too many entries, otherwise I'll be crazy.
