Is this on par or better than CCleaner?
I'm willing to try it out, if it is.

i just found the ATI and the subfolder in the root of C: on my other computer.
seems thats where ati extract all the data but forget to delete it after the installation... total of 1gb space saved by getting rid of that folder. around 10 driver installers.

Are you dissatisfied with Paragon ? If $$ is no problem then i would go for SP,ever after i started using SP my mind became at last at rest, and i can put all my energy in my job as an dig. picture editor. :D

    wrong thread lol?
can a mod move post 54 and 55 to here thanks
i have no problems with paragon. works like a charm.
    daily backup takes 5mins.
paragon is as solid as a rock. i can trust it completely. the new version had one issue but i worked with paragon to get it sorted out.
i wish the imaging was as fast as shadow protect desktop but its not much of an issue.
with shadow protect desktop it annoys me that to restore an os partition you have to use the recovery cd.
with paragon i can tell it to restore an OS partition and it will reboot and do it.
i do get confused with incremental images. as stated i didnt spend much time working it out but i could seem to find out how the image manager works to colapse the images and maintain them.
only advantages shadow protect desktop has are incremental images and faster.
paragon drive backup 9.0 costs arund the same price as shadow protect desktop and also comes with a vistape recovery cd now.

0 (zero) bytes to save on mine (after using Empty Temp Folders, on XP sp2). It only found 1 desktop.ini and 2 index.dat files. And if I "clean" those three files they will be re-create exactly as they are now, after next reboot!

my older computer had the extracted installers clogging up space. my current computer i reinstalled last week and i keep my machine lean and mean lol.

Kcleaner is faster, has more options for automation and cleans more areas than diskcleanup found in systemtools.
i used to use ccleaner but didnt like the fact it has a bundled toolbar (i know you can untick it) and it has registry cleaner.
kcleaner is what i have been looking for a simple cleaner tool i can automate.

AFAIK but i can be wrong that Paragon uses also the old SnapshotDriver from StorageCraft,if that be the case then i hardly can imagine that Paragon can restore an image to the active (in use) OS. o_O

Really nice job on this cleaner. Thanks.

It wedges out quite a bit of leftovers in record time. Can't wait to watch it sweep the index.dat files myself with session urls removed. I use CleanAfterMe by Nirsoft for the time being to completely make a full sweep of collected session debris.

Thanks so much and keep up the nice work. And PORTABLE is super! Luv 'em

    You're welcome ;-)
Index.dat cleaning is one of the next big things to come (with secured deletion)

Your on a roll without a doubt.

(secured deletion) = another bonus feature, you're not missing a beat. Excellent project and were all in appreciation of this effort.

maybe partly due to different coding language but Kcleaner is very fast(a bit faster then ATF cleaner) as compared with Ccleaner and much faster then Sweepy wich work at snail pace and require a reboot,i think with the coming .dat cleaning its also the most thorough. :thumb:

    Thank you.
KCleaner is coded in Borland Delphi 7 like almost all KC Softwares products. It's a little bit old-school but still very efficient...

I'm willing to try this product, but I'm still having doubts.
Is this product completely safe? Is it better than Ccleaner??
Does it listen to ports? Cause if it does I can simply block it with my firewall.

It is as safe as CCleaner (deletes file after user selection to do so)
It do not listen to ports and do not try to establish outgoing connections like CCleaner does.
