good.... just for kicks and giggles..I was also then going to suggest you shut down completely then reboot and do your speed test right from the get go..a'fore you did anything else and see if that would make a difference..had seen at times it might...so now maybe they do not even know you are you and I is me..

Hang in there buddie..they will get to know you by first name very soon ;)

    Hey, that's getting results!

If you are going to do the reboot thing, you might want to turn off the modem for a few seconds and power back up.

As you know, I don't think most of these tests are all that accurate. However, if you try the same tests that you did before the change, at around the same time of day, I would expect to see a big improvement.

    Good Morning Cochise:

Often times DSL needs tweaking before optimal performance can be had. Please see:

    http://www.dslreports.com/stest

next follow the instructions for there tweak test. Re-run the speed test, if your still not satisified - follow the instructions for posting your speed test, pn there forum.

In my case we used "cable nut" program to make the necessary adjustments, to my system. Note cable nut has its own adjustments for DSL, we did nouse them. Cable nut was used as an adjusting tool. see pic all values were from the experts at DSL forum.

Note after the forum help, then check contact your isp if not satisified.

    Good Luck

    Triple Helix-

I will say this for Speakeasy. There measurements are remarkably consistant. These results are from four different cities from coast to coast.

The bad news is that I am supposed to be getting 6mbs/384kbs. Anyway, I doubt I would notice the difference in practice.
