    Re: DriveSentry

DriveSentry is currently compatible with the majority of third party AV products and will remain this way. This gives people the option to use DriveSentry as a standalone security solution or as an extra layer of defence alongside their existing security software.

Is there a list of compatible av's? Also the tray icon is an eyesore to me as well.
I purchased it and like it so far! One more thing, does it detect key loggers?
    Thanks & Welcome!!

    Hi bellgamin,

Thanks for your feedback. One of the comments that we have had is that people are tired of the subscription model. We have recently done significant deals with PCWorld and Currys digital here in Europe, so we hope to be around for the foreseeable future!:)

    thanks,

    Kate.

    Hi 337,

I would like to ask you if you have any suggestions regarding the tray icon, because personally i like it (i would do) but im always open to suggestions! Good idea about the AVs. We do have an internal compatibility report. It needs fleshing out a little then i will get it posted for your viewing.

Do we detect Keyloggers?? Yes and No. We have many keyloggers in our signature database. We dont monitor the APIs that they may hook, but we do monitor the areas that they may write to within the system eg. statup.

    Thanks 337

    regards,

    kate.

    Hi,

    Katie:

Welcome to Wilders, your keen participation here has generated a good deal of interest. For the price of two BigMac Comb(US$ 10,?), a lifetime license offer is hard to skip any attention/ even gossip.

On your pending product compatibility report, can you expand its spectrum to include Shadow/Virtualization, other popular HIPS/Behaviour blockers, for examples, DeepFreeze, SafeSpace, ReturnNill, PowerShadow and
DefenseWall, Sandboxie, GesWall, ThreatFire, Norton Antibot etc.
An extended list as such, IMO, will add more momentum to enlist new clients.

    Have a nice day.

I believe you can only purchase from within the gui when your setting up an account.

I would like a shield, which makes me think "security"!! The one used now is too small and takes a minute to figure out what it is... Also I am running vista business sp1 and my installed version 3.0.3.1 (downloaded yesterday), it is running but when I try to open the application I get a failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142)... I read there is a .4 version, guess I will try it.
    Thanks!!

The icon is too busy, should be 1 item, not 2.

    It should stand-out, something more
simple, and should be of better quality.

I'd even prefer a no entry sign than what we have now.

    Just my thoughts.

Agree. Bought my license, about what a gallon of gas costs here in the states but, the icon should be more colorful and stand out more. It currently looks like a Microsoft icon of some sort.

I noticed an initial slow-down, but I was more patient, and it eventually slowed down.

    Hi Trjam,

I am sorry to hear that you are having problems with the software. Please could you let me know the operating system that you are using and any other software which you maybe running alongside DriveSentry so that we can investigate this issue further. You should not be experiencing any changes in the speed of your computer and you certainly should not be needing to login to Advisor every 10 minuteso_O .

    Thanks for highlighting this.

    kind regards,

    Kate.

Vista 32. It seemed that everytime I went back into the GUI to do something, that stupid code box would pop up and I would have to enter my password. As for me, dont worry about it, things happen. But thank you for asking.
