Kasperskymail.co.uk??

Received an e-mail purporting, in appearance, to come from K-Labs, and apparantly making a special offer on 12month licence for KIS (special for Easter). It linked to "kasperskymail", and I've never heard of this address for
Kaspersky. When I checked it (via Siteadvisor, WOT, Netcraft, Quarkbase),
didn't come up with too much, except that it is connected to a company called
SmartFocus Group PLC, and you get re-directed to their site if you try kasperskymail.
I'm not saying they're necessarily not offering legit software(hopefully), but
they're certainly"doing business" in a very deceptive way, in my opinion.
Anyone heard of anything similar?

 

I do get occasional E-Mails from Kaspersky. The last one was from this address:
Kaspersky Lab [securemail@reply.kasperskyusa.com]. All I can say is be careful. I have not received the E-Mail you describe. Maybe check with their customer service.

Yes, needs more investigation, maybe they have a contract to use K's name,
but it's doubtful.

 

Did you send an email to Kaspersky's support?

 

Not yet, but yes I should, thanks. They would probably ask me to forward it,
and unfortunately I deleted it as soon as I read, coz I thought it suspect.
