Nope, there is no such a beta. Where did you get such information?
There are other version numbers, but they are used for internal testing, done by the developers, only.

hi Paul, i checked the kaspersky page and found these BETA and ALPHA products:

1. Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal Anti-Spam v5.0 (Beta 3)
2. Kaspersky Anti-Virus Monitor v5.0.0.0 (Beta 2)
3. Kaspersky Security for PDA v5.0 (Beta 1 build 2)
4. Kaspersky Anti-Spam Enterprise Edition v2.0 (Beta 1 build 36)
5. Kaspersky Anti-Virus SMTP-Gateway for Linux/Unix v5.0.0.30 (Alpha)

i couldn't find the KAV Personal BETA. but when i searched in GOOGLE i did find the product in various WAREZ sites. should be a DUD aimed at lamers.

 

I found a English version of 5.0.124 B

 

where did you find that software Me-me? ok Paul maybe you are right. they probably took it off air.

 

The Beta is out, but not on the official homepage. i am using it right now since yesterday. I am using an englisch version.

Kaspersky Personal 5.0.124 final has already been released, so why uese the beta?

thanks RejZor, but i meant a direct link to the file or to the news. i searched Kaspersky and thats why i was so angry.

 

Hehe download section isn't far away Anyway the only thing i hate about KAV5 is that has no settings to adjust it to my needs (even avast! 4 HE or AntiVir Free has more options,ok might be fine for those who don't understand each and every advanced settings) and stupid asking for password at each and every archive/encrypted file it encounters (On-Demand scan). Even if i selected skip all it was still bugging me. Also memory usage was somehow pretty high. Also first update took forever. I uninstalled KAV5 but i hope updates are smaller next time because 1,8MB is a bit too much and for updates that are issued every 3 hours! Maybe Pro version will have all that normal version is missing... Does anyone know when Pro is gonna be released?

 

yes infact i know the direct download server addresses. but i couldn't find that BETA version. people say things before they can even think. no one know for sure when the Pro version will be out. Pro version will be more configurable. the personal version is idiot-proof.

 

I'm sorry to have upset you so much. The talk was about personal version, nobody mentioned PRO, so it was an understandable mistake, won't you agree?

hey its OK. i know you were talking about the personal version. the latest version is 5.0.121 not 5.0.124. there isn't even a BETA version for that personal version. so stop misleading.
