I know it goes against what I always thought but if you actually enable it, any web browsing slow down you may have will go away. Posted in the Kaspersky forum, so I tried it and web browsing is fast as heck.

I'm not sure why but this works indeed. Even faster browsing this way

Does Kaspersky Anti-Banner supplement or can it replace Adblock Plus in Firefox?

For those of us who do not use Kaspersky, you can always use the following, all of which are free:

    Google Chrome - Ad Thwart

Internet Explorer 8 - Simple Adblock

    Firefox - Adblock Plus

That's probably up to you. I find that it blocks most of the same things, but since Adblock Plus is specific to Firefox that it does it's job a little more cleanly, so I use them both. No problems. The thing I like about the Anti-Banner is that it blocks ads in all programs, including things like Windows Live Messenger and FeedDemon. :thumb:

This used to be the case for me also. I'd try each new version and every time the slow down was very noticeable.

KIS 2010 is the first version where this is not true. I'm amazed at how little it actually slows down anything. I would suggest running a full scan first and then using it for a few days before deciding on its impact on performance.

USA still the best. But barely.
I'm using KIS7 still. And in KIS7 when Anti-Banner is on Hulu flips out. So I've just left it off for the last 10 months. Anybody know how Hulu responds now.

Just went to Hulu to check. Running KIS 2010 on Windows 7 x64 no problems on Hulu.
