    @hawki

    You are right but i am talking about dont scan archive files option. It is not advanced settings, any idiot can understand this setting no need advanced security knowledge.

    Bitdefender autopilot is very successfully. KIS show alert and it want to user decision (it is smart, not for everything), it doesnt look like BD. Also if i remember right, we can exclude archive files from scan easly on BD?

    Anyone notice their browser start-up and general browsing speed slowing down after enabling "Trusted Applications Mode?"

    LOL: You are either under-estimating your own degree of knowledge or over- estimating the degree of knowledge of the average computer idiot. I have been following Wilders for five years and uh i didn't know what an archived file is. I just googled it and I am still not sure I understand what an archived file is :)

    An archived file is one or more files compressed into an archive with archiving software, for example Winzip, WinRAR and 7zip ;)

    This is only for USA and Canada. An official release for UK/Ireland is not yet available.:(

    Yes, another CNET 'exclusive'. Always disappointing (to me at least) when these big sites get before regular customers but at least we know its on its way I suppose

    Very very strange how every security company falls over themselves to get a "Download.com Exclusive". It's bordering on being hilarious.

    Looking at the worldwide Kaspersky support website, the '2014' edition isn't referenced at all yet: http://support.kaspersky.com/kis2014

    We've been told that the official launch is the 19 August, so who knows why it's up on Download.com already! I did chuckle at the way CNET has been given an exclusive $20 discount from 2014, alongside their 4.5 star review.

    I do really wonder how they can release in US & Canada but then put back the UK launch...what the hell is the big difference technically between those localisations o_O

    There isn't. The reason is, Internet Security 1-PC/3-PC/5-PC won't be available from UK retail. They are releasing a "Multi-Device" version (which replaces ONE) instead, which will be priced at the same RRP as KIS 3-PC.

    We were told the rest of Europe will be releasing IS 1-PC/3-PC earlier than 10 September.

    Remember guys, if you are not in North America, do not try and buy a code from Kaspersky USA as the codes now use regional blocking and won't work in the UK/EU.

    Hi moxxey

    Thanks for the reply...but not sure I understand what you are saying. Are you saying that in the UK I will not be able to get hold of a 3 PC license for KIS 2014?

    And what is a "Multi-Device" version?

    All I want is 3 licenses of good old KIS...like I have had since v6...to protect my main desktop system. :doubt:

    So if we have a valid UK license for KIS 2013 already can we download the 2014 trial from the US site and update that way?

    Yes, that should work. The exe's aren't regionally blocked from working in your area. It's just in US English.

    KIS 3-PC won't be sold in retail. However, a multi-device (think Kaspersky ONE) will allow you to activate the standalone KIS 3-PC. You can use a ONE licence now with KIS. ONE is simply KIS for your PC, but with the additional flexibility of being able to activate an Android device and a Mac, if you wish.

    US/UK Localisation? Simples:

    You like potato and I like potahto,
    You like tomato and I like tomahto;
    Potato, potahto, tomato, tomahto!
    Let's call the whole thing off!

    To coin Ella's phrase, things have indeed "come to a pretty pass" to have to wait till 10 September (or is that 09/10/13?) for UK localised version.

    :D
