Kaspersky anti-virus

    Does it use much in the way of resources? I know that some AVs run lighter than others.

    With default settings it's one of the more heavier AVs (by CPU and HDD usage, RAM usage is pretty good). They offer a free trial though, so you could check it out yourself. I don't find it slowing this PC down nearly at all, but it does slow down my older machine a bit.
