Kaspersky and Staganos AV

I am using the trial version of Staganos at the moment, and I know it uses the Kaspersky signatures.

Are they basicaly the same? It just that the Staganos subscription is a little bit cheaper to buy than Kaspersky's.

Would you guys recommend one over the other?

Steganos internet secuirty 2007 is kaspersky internet secuirty 6.0 with a steganos skin and no antispam.
if you buy the steganos version you have to use steganos support if you have any problems.

i also don't think steganos recieves mp's like kav does (last time i checked steganos was still in it's 30x)

 

Product upgrades are (or rather, were) not free with Steganos. Their support is quite good so I don't really see a problem there. It is possible they switched to free upgrades with the 2007 version, but I really have no idea.

 

The renewal fee is attractive too.

But if price is important to you, although Steganos is a a good cheap clone, you might consider the free AOL Active Shield which also has the KAV engine.
