I personally do appreciate very much Kaspersky. I am personally a Mac User, but, you know, some sites specifically require that you browse with IE. So I installed parallels and that stuff they call an operating system. What's great with Parallels is that they give you the Kaspersky anti-virus and Wauuu....

At work, for Winblows users, they pay Norton Anti-Virus. When I brought my Mac and started that M$ OS I got a lot of messages about network attacks!!! I am speaking of a network where all PCs are supposed to be protected by Norton. On the other PCs, nothing, not even a message and certainly infection. From what other place could these attacks come?

So, if you're in the process of deciding, do not buy that Norton stuff. Kaspersky is best!!!!

Just downloaded it and have it up and running. Very nice so far.
Gonna give it a spin and see what's new with this version.
I'm sure they'll post the change log on the Kav forums soon.

Just download and install it. You'll see. Even on the highest settings it works fast and smooth

thats the official beta release... the newest non-official betas are on forum.kaspersky.com
... select "KIS\KAV 7.0 beta", then FAQ (sticky) and then part 3
direct link to beta FTP ftp://kav2006:Fynb02dbhec60@data.kaspersky.com/

    this forum is biased!
just like K6, k7 has problems with email scanning in my opinion, i wish they would fix this.

its slow, sooo slow infact on recieving emails and sometimes hangs, i dont know if its because i recieve lots of emails, but its the only AV ive had probs with when emailing.

other than this, it looks pretty and seems to do its jobs fine.

No kidding. Just checked in their to see if there was a comment on my post about 99, and bam there is 101, and my problem is gone. Makes one wonder if a Release Candidate is in the wind.

remember lads/lasses, if you find any bugs, post them in Kaspersky's beta forum: http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showforum=16
... or the less preferred method... post it here so someone else can attempt to recreate it or confirm it and they can post it in the forum (if they can confirm bug)

It is better to post them in the Kaspersky forum. The official Kaspersky team members are only looking there. It is not sure that the bugs posted here will be on the official forum as well.

i don't think so, usual beta cycles include beta 1, beta 2, Rc and finally the release. now it should be between beta 1 and beta 2.

I think auto shutdown is only available in version 7 (beta now).
