Actually I think Kas doesnt, but will. I use Kas 6 but have a license for Nod. Holding onto the license to see what the next product will be like. But right now, Kas is hard to beat.

Kaspersky has a Proactive protection module which only works realtime. The standard heuristics in KAV is quite old at the moment, but will be updated later this year.

BitDefender's heuristic engine is a mix of Behaviour Blocker and standard heuristics, called B-HAVE (Behavorial Heuristics in Advanced Virtual Environment). BitDefender's heuristic engine is currently the second best in the world.

I would have thought Firecat was referring to NOD32, not Panda.

I have KIS but i have the firewall turned off because I have comodo. Right now mines at 11,380 k for memory. And now it went down to 10,000 k... Pretty light lol. I have BitDefender 8 free edition for on-demand scanning though... (used to have bd 9 anti-virus with all protection off but it conflicted with kaspersky apparently and cost me 190$ to get it fixed)

For me KIS HIGHEST is at 15,000 k while doing normal surfing
