    @ Any & All - Google has come up with another PITA. Namely, they are ceasing to support NPAPI (duhhh?) plug-ins (such as Silverlight, Java, and Unity). Their reasons are: (1) NPAPI plug-ins are security risks, & (2) Fewer sites are using NPAPI plugins. This stuff is waaaay over my know-how of browser technicalities.

    Details are at -https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/6213033-

    QUESTION: as a Kmel user, should I give a rip about these Google shenanigans?
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    @ rodocop - thanks for keeping us updated on Kmel's progress.
    Do you know what improvements/debugs there are in Kmel's pre-release version VERSUS Kmel's RC3?
    IN other words -- since RC3 is running flawlessly on my box, is there a good reason why I shouldn't skip installing the pre-release &, instead, simply wait for the Final?
    Small fixes for sessions kplugin and a little make-up for appearance preferences. Sure, you can stop at any step, good enough for your. This post is being written under 75 RC1, for example ;-)
    Let's leave Chrome alone. I understand their reasons. But it's their own game.
    No any reason to worry for us.
    Final release of Kmel 75.0 is at -http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/KMeleon/966929531/1-
    If you want the portable, goto -http://sourceforge.net/projects/kmeleon/files/k-meleon/75.0/K-Meleon75.0.7z/download-
    For me, Kmel 75 is running with the wind, straight & true & zzzippy! Ship shape & Bristol!
    Nope, its for Windows only (unless you are able to emulate Windows apps on the Android).
    Painless install.
    Couple quirks: Cannot display History, "Search" button inoperative (have to CTRL G to invoke search window).
    Unless these are just anomalies on this box.
    Win 7 pro. Re-install and messing about a bit got it all sorted out.
    K-Meleon 75.1 Beta
    - Update to Gecko 31.8
    - Change: moved bmpmenu into core, plugin bmpmenu now is only used for compatibility with older skins using menuicons.cfg
    - Change: using gecko favicon cache (I may rollback this because it's unreliable and ugly)
    - Change: improved autocomplete result display.
    - Added: allow function declaration in macros, some main macros are now function, compat75 assure compatibility with older macros
    - Added: macro function date(format[, time]). format: same as strftime, time: timestamp unix (nothing for current time)
    - Added macro function download(url, path[, function]). Download file from "url" and save it in "path", then call the designated function.
    - Added: kmeleon.display.urlbar_fontsize, this is a multiplier, default is 1
    - Fixed: various minor memory leaks
    - Fixed: losing sessions when disk full
    If there was a 64 bit version of K-Meleon I would give it a try, but as there doesn't seem to be one .................
    Right you are - there is no 64bit KM out there.
    ********************************
    We have an important update for K-Meleon - strongly recommended!
    K-Meleon 75.1 RC installer
    K-Meleon 75.1 RC portable
    Update 1
    Last update allows override OS-inherited menu for URLbar with customizable KM menu. That gives us long awaited possibility to add 'Paste And Go' command here, for example.
    You need to edit your menus.cfg file (use profile one to save your settings over all new updates) adding there this code:
    Code:
    URLBar{
    !Edit
    &Paste And Go=macros(Go_Paste)
    }
    ...or feel free to change command list in 'URLBar' block for your needs.
    This is K-Meleon - the most customizable browser ever!
    P.S. More changes in this version:
    • favicons store type changed - all your favicon cache will be vanished at the first start and rebuilt in process of browsing;
    • more page focus problems solved;
    • 'Copy Link Text' command added to link context menu by default;
    • video/animation freezes while switching tabs fixed;
    • severe bug with clearing portable profiles under second update finally fixed.
    K-Meleon 75.1 Pro - my custom portable build with some additions, fixes and make-up ;-)
    Users say that it's more convenient in use than official KM.
    Try it and enjoy it!
    More skins, more settings, more stuff!
    I think it's better to add an update as it doesn't need from you more than just unpack an archive into working folder...
    Privoxy extension for K-Meleon: run Privoxy right from the browser and get traffic filtered - just pressing 1 button!
    Contains additional adblocking filters converted from AdBlock subscriptions.
    I've been watching for updates to Kmeleon (beta or otherwise) but haven't spotted any. However, I am not a very adept searcher -- have I missed any updates?
