Today around 16:50 GMT i submitted test sample to Jotti and then to VirusTotal (VT) service. I noticed some differences while comparing scanning results - it's about AVG and NOD32.

Jotti's results said AVG's scanner didn't detected test sample, NOD32 detected it (Win32/TrojanDownloader.FakeAlert.WR).

However, VT's results said AVG detected the very same sample (Agent.AWZZ), and NOD32 didn't.

    Jotti:

Time difference between these two is only three minutes.

So i'm interested where is exactly the difference between Jotti and VT related to this test. I think it's most likely time difference between updates as configuration option is out of the question.

It's only one sample, by no means any valid test or comparations of these two useful services.

As far as I know Jotti uses Linux based scanners, while the scanners on Virustotal are in a Windows environment.
