Just wanted to know if anyone else uses this app and if it is legit? I've been looking for a download manager app.

Legit. Open source, requires Java and its main purpose is the management of downloads from file hosting sites such as Rapidshare.

Actually, one of the best download managers in my opinion.

It can automatically download from most filehosts without an premium account (captha and so on, it tries to guess it).

It's a little flaky mainly because it relies on Java, but it's the only download manager that handles reCaptcha's, there's even a plugin that lets other fill in your captcha's for credits, so you don't have to stay up all night for getting those interesting Biology explanation screens.;)

I've been trying Jdownloader for the past couple of days and I think it's the one I like. Thank you all for your input. ;)

How do you download it, as I am not able to. Can you upload it to Rapidshare.

    Best regards,

    Nice choice, it's the best.
I like it because it has everything in 1 package and does it well, checks links, fills captcha and a lot more! :D

I had the same issue, goto softpedia.

So far yes. I'm going to try MrBrian's suggestion later today. I just downloaded it and it looks like it needs no install! :thumb:
Also, it has the same bells and whistles as JD. Now I'll just look to see how it performs.
