I´m trying our a new java based download manager called Jownloader (www.jdownloader.org). I´m running XP SP2 and ESS v3.0.645.0

ESS seems to be blocking Internet access to this program.
Since Jdownloader is based on Java, the program "executable" is a .JAR
I tried adding firewall expections rules to allow all traffic for the .JAR executable and also for java.exe and javaw.exe (the Java Runtime environmet) but this doesn´t work.

Also, I have ESS configured on Interactive mode so it will ask me what to do with new applications trying to connect, but it doesen´t.
Couldn`t find any useful information on the ESS firewall logs either.

I`m pretty sure it´s an ESS firewall misconfiguration because when I disable firewall protection Jdownloader works great.

I`d very much appreciate any insights on this matter.
    Regards.

I was going to suggest that.=P

Abbo, 69 works prime so far.

I am in the process of trying to break it. =)

BTW, Jdownloader works if I set a rule for it to ASK.
    NICE PROG!!!!!!!!!!!

    ADDING:

    Read that for uninstalling.

I also ran a search of my C drive and deleted ALL ESET related material after uninstall.
I then ran regedit and deleted ALL ESET related items.

Rebooted and installed the new version like a charm.

Only solution for me to upgrade.
