Java Who?

    I get these: "Java Update Available" messages/icons.
    Are these critical, should I do it, or ignore it?:doubt:

    i dont know if its critical, but keeping your java updated is generally a good idea.

    right now, the latest is version 6.

    As posted above, updating java is a good idea, it should increase performance & security.
    I read almost every month, that those and those JRE's version are vulnerable, update them.
    JRE 5.0 Update 8 and prior are vulnerable: http://secunia.com/product/4228/?task=advisories
    I would not be surprised to see a news telling, that all versions prior to JRE 6.0 are vulnerable.
