Java/active x problems

    Hi, hoping someone can help. Running WinXP SP2I, IE 6 SP2. I can't get Trendmicro housecall to work at all - I keep getting java errors - I have tried all remedies suggested at housecall and sun java, but no go. Browser has both java and active x enabled (some are prompt). I have even uninstalled and reinstalled java 1.42, and I have turned off all spyware/av programs and it still won't load and run. Errors are:

    1. java.lang.Nullpointer exception
    at trend.javascan.start (javascan.java:1114)
    at sun.applet.panel.run (unknown source)
    at java.lang.thread.run (unknown source)

    2. netscape.javascript.js.exception: unknown name

    Is the Housecall activeX control app showing in c/windows/downloaded programs file?
    I just tried the site with Firefox, got a message I needed to install a Netscape plugin and the browser crashed.
