No, it does not.

Speech isn't always free, even in the US. We all know about National Security Letters, of course. There are also non-disclosure clauses or agreements in contracts and court orders.

But in the UK, court- and government-ordered secrecy is more common. There are court orders under which it's even illegal to talk about whether or not an order exists I'm not going to mention any of those

 

I wonder what happened to the tradition of Speaker's Corner at the edge of Hyde Park near Marble Arch in London.

Wasn't that considered to be like freedom of speech where anyone could get up on a soapbox and talk freely about the issues of the day?
