itunes replacement for ipod

i need a software to transfer music and possibly pics to my ipod nano. when i tried musicmatch for loading songs, the ipod wouldnt detect the music. i figure i need a special software for this particular task. any suggestions?

 

I think there is a plugin for winamp that supports ipod. It's located here.

songbird isnt rele what im looking for. its rele a beta and it doesnt detect my ipod nano.

i tried yamipod which is ok and free but has no support for loading images. loading audio isnt very straightfoward, and i dont like the multi pane type gui.

theres anapod explorer but its not free. i cannot load images in the trial and im gonna tag a few mp3s before loading them. see how well this proggy works.
