According to VirusTotal (which I'll PM on request), on 2011-02-21 24/43 detect a malware sample, including Prevx. Today, 36/43 detect it, but Prevx no longer detects it? Hash values are the same ones.

I have seen this behavior from VT before, have you tried to scan with Prevx to see if it still detects it because that's what I do and it's been mentioned that VT cannot be counted on because they don't use the complete versions of the products that they use to scan with!

Yes, I'm aware they don't use the complete versions. I just found odd that Prevx previously detected it (in VirusTotal), and new report from VirusTotal shows Prevx failing.

I haven't actually uploaded or reanalyzed any URL/sample, I just saw what were the detection rates to the sample someone else had already submitted. There was a new report and showing Prevx doesn't detect, when previously it did.

But, I've seen VirusTotal showing new reports for different samples, as in samples that are not the ones that were previously submitted. lol

Like I said I've seen this behavior with VT one day it shows the file has been detected by Prevx on VT and a couple of days later the same file is no longer being detected by Prevx on VT but I scan the file with Prevx and the detection is still there! That's why I asked you if you scanned it with Prevx to see if it was still detected by Prevx but does not show on VT. VT could be having issues but I can be sure I know the last month VT has been Quite busy at times when I was not able to upload any files to be checked!
