    Hey guys,

I recently switched to a new ISP and today I received their modem/router. The thing is, the device is a piece of sh*t. Therefore i want to let my own router run alongside it.

All I need to do is to bridge the ISP-device to my own router. Sounds easy right? Well not really, the device is running custom ISP firmware (very limited). There's no bridging mode available.

So I start searching the web and I discovered that there's a workaround. By enabling the DMZ-mode on the ISP modem/router I can route all traffic to my own router: Like THIS

I wonder if there will be any security issues if I implement this configuration. Will someone please enlighten me on this?

    Cheers :thumb:
