    Hi,
Thanks to to producer of Defensewall,
I'm using the Giveawayoftheday version of Defensewall (2.09).
And I'm just curious, if there is any known issues of it.
Since, there is no update for such version.
I really want to keep on using it.
However, I don't have the chance to buy it here in my country,
beacuse they don't sell it. :(
    Thanks in advance,
and have a nice day :D

I don't think there is anywhere a boxed retail version can be found.

To answer your primary question I cannot speak for others, but as for myself I don't have any issue at all.

Now it is always possible, depending of your configuration, that you will have a conflict with another program. The good news is that Ilya is always very fast to solve the problem. This is, with Online Armour, probably the best support you will ever get.:)

I never had any issues with DefenseWall, except my own stupidity.
It works in extreme circumstances, like Anti-Executable on HIGH security and a frozen snapshot, not many security softwares can survive in such environment, it's like walking on the largest beach "Sahara" without water. ;)

Hi Ilya, I am a GAOTD user. When the known issues are resolved in the next version (presumably 2.10), will I (and other GAOTD users) also be allowed to update to v2.10 (only) without having to buy or prolongate? Thanks.

No. Right now I don't plan 2.10 GAOTD release. :)

There is enough issue to keep me from using it, even though I paid to use it.

Frequently (most boot-ups), the boot up screen on XP suddenly stops, and is replaced by a wordy BSOD. The only way out is power off, which means shut down is improper. I can boot into safe mode, and then reboot and usually get in.

I've been waiting for new versions that might fix it. It started somewhere around 2.06. I've 2.09 now, and tried it; it's the same way.

I guess if there's going to be no 2.10, I'm out of luck.

    Hello Empath,

If you have a "paid" license(GAOTD or regular) to DefenseWall you are entitled to one year of program updates. I guess, what Ilya is tying to say is that subsequent program updates to DW(v2.10 and so on) will not be available to GAOTD users who have not chosen to upgrade their copy of DW as described in the following link.

    Hope this helps.

    Peace & Gratitude,

    Ah! I see. Thank you.

Now I guess it's back to trying out each new version (for a year) until one works.

I'm sure Ilya would work closely with me, trying to figure it out. It's the time and effort involved in trying to figure out what's different about my system that makes it uniquely act that way. Defense Wall is worth the effort, but since I'll be running a different computer (still XP) shortly, I figure I'll just wait and run it on the new system instead.

You had to write me to support as soon as you got it! I don't understand what took you from it. In case you don't want to see this BSOD with 2.10- write me to support and lets fix it up!

Yes, 2.09 is too old- I wouldn't advise to use it. 2.40 RC1 is coming today or tomorrow.
