To much of a Hidden Agenda in the past, I wouldn't trust them...

The German/Swiss Privacy Foundation are good...

I feel pretty safe w/ OpenDNS + DNSCrypt and using a VPN.

dnssec-trigger is an alternative, and in addition to authenticating and encrypting packets, it performs caching and client-side DNSSEC validation: http://www.nlnetlabs.nl/projects/dnssec-trigger/

NLNet provides free, open DNS resolvers, but they might be a bit slow if you're not in Europe.

For dnscrypt, see http://dnscrypt.org - there are alternative GUIs you can use.
But on Windows, running it as a service remains the most reliable and secure way to run it. Avoid checking the "fallback to insecure" box, it makes the thing vulnerable to downgrade attacks and renders the system pretty much useless.

The German/Swiss Privacy Foundation have a DNS that provides DNSSEC, not sure why anyone would need anything else...

I messed with dnssec-trigger, I personally think grabbing a DNS from the German/Swiss Privacy Foundation with DNSSEC, a simpler, just as safe approach...
