I mean if anyone here wants to try it, just go here and fill it out and a download link and license will be sent to you. Enjoy.

I just applied for and received my license. Being a Beta is this currently tuned up enough to use as a stand alone or should I back it up with something else...o_O :D

Version seems the same as closed beta (i.e. 3.9.1.85) :)

There is no firewall in this version. It seems, this is only AV version.

First Impression, there are two process running and they are using very little memory in my vm. It is running alongside NIS 2012 beta and so far no issues.

And I am running my VM with only 512mb ram allocated to it

It also has a sandbox. Great!

But unfortunately it is not working for me. I tried to install ping plotter, but even after checking all options, it is not allowing me to install it. I keep getting the same message that I need to install this from an administrator account.

I dont think Webroot considers this a closed beta anymore but just a beta. So, let the comments begin.

A note to all: if you could please keep feedback coming in through our support inbox, that would be best at the moment. We have a large staff of people managing the feedback through there and the feedback is being used directly to shape the product.

Posts here won't be able to be tracked as accurately or associated to conversations so your suggestions won't be able to be dealt with as accurately.

    Thanks!

You are out of line TH, go read what Webroot posted with the beta. No where does it ask for you to sign anything, yes it is a beta but not a closed one. But yet, you delete. Damn I am sick of this sub forum and your quick delete function. Hopefully Webroot sees it also.

The beta is still governed by the same EULA and while we are opening it up for more registrations, it is still closed with regard to public feedback.

The benefits are twofold, however, as you'll receive faster/more accurate responses by writing into our customer support inbox at the moment as it is a direct line to our product management where your suggestions are taken into account to decide what will be added/changed in the product.

I understand Joe but how can you close public comments in a forum when a member didnt sign a NDA. Yes, screenshots are one thing but I dont think a Eula takes away from Freedom of Speech at least in this country.

No disrespect to trjam, but if this is now an open beta, the announcement would have been better coming from PrevxHelp or any other Prevx/Webroot employee. No wonder TH is taking the action he feels necessary until told otherwise.

Joe: please clear this up otherwise there is going to be confusion ahead.

And to the thread question, it certainly isn't a release candidate.

Ugly is not enough, I hope they will do something quite different for the final version. :D

I already did it. I at least wait for an interface like Prevx3 but this one IMO is worse.
